Paint Protection Film in Lebanon, TNRocks hit film. Not paint.
Clear PPF over the front end, the high-impact spots or the whole car, laid wet and worked into place.
Paint Protection Film
The clear layer between your paint and the road.
Paint protection film is a clear urethane film that goes over the paint.
Gravel, sand and road debris hit the film instead of the clear coat.
The paint underneath doesn’t chip the way bare paint does.
Most chips land on the front: the bumper, the leading edge of the hood, the fenders, mirrors and headlights.
That’s where most people start. If you want every painted panel covered, film can go on the whole car.
The photo at the top is a BMW M4 mid-install.
The film is laid over a slip solution, then squeegeed into place panel by panel.

What you get
Why people book it.
Stone chips
Takes the hits from gravel and debris thrown off tires on the highway.
Light scratches
Many films have a self-healing top layer, so light swirls fade with warmth.
Bugs and tar
Bug splatter, tar and droppings sit on the film instead of etching into the clear coat.
Paint kept original
The paint under the film stays closer to the day it was covered.
The I-40 test
Thirty miles of I-40. One hood.
Lebanon to downtown Nashville is about 30 road miles of I-40.
Scroll the drive and watch what it does to paint, with and without film.
-
Mile 0 // Lebanon
Both halves leave clean.
Same car, same morning. The left half of this hood is bare clear coat.
The right half is under clear paint protection film.
-
Mile 16 // Mt. Juliet
The first chips land.
Traffic thickens and tires throw grit. On bare paint, every hit can knock out a fleck of clear coat and color.
-
Mile 21 // Hermitage
Same hits, two outcomes.
The film side takes the same gravel. It lands on the film, and the paint underneath stays untouched.
-
Mile 30 // Downtown Nashville
Park it. Compare.
One side looks like the commute. The other still looks like the driveway. That’s the whole job of PPF.

Road miles from the Lebanon Public Square on I-40. The chips are a drawing, not a lab result.
“Fantastic customer service from a small business owner, great quality work and drive. I’d recommend this shop over any other in the middle Tennessee area. Special thanks to Nick the owner.”

Will I be able to see the film?
Clear film is made to be close to invisible once it’s installed. Up close you may spot an edge.
Ask Nick where the edges will sit on your car before the job starts.
PPF or ceramic coating?
Paint protection film is a clear urethane layer that takes rock chips and scuffs for the paint.
A ceramic coating is a thin, hard layer that adds gloss and makes washing easier. It won’t stop a rock.
Plenty of owners do both: film on the front, a coating over everything.
Can PPF go on a brand-new car?
Yes, and that’s the best time, before the first highway trips put chips in the paint.
Which parts should I cover?
Start where the chips land: bumper, hood edge, fenders, mirrors and headlights.
Rocker panels and door edges are common add-ons, and full-body film is an option.
